A tray positioning method of a bobbin automatic packaging assembly line, the method comprising the following steps: Step 1, when a command is received that an assembly line mechanical arm (9) shall grasp a bobbin (5), a controller (10) controls a cylinder (7) to act and drive a blocking device (8) to rise over a roller (2) to a state blocking a tray (4) from continuing to move forward; Step 2, when the tray moves along a track (1) to a sensor (6) position, the sensor sensing a bobbin on the tray and transmitting a signal to the controller, and controlling a corresponding roller electric motor (3), the roller electric motor slowing and causing the tray to slow its motion until the tray contacts the blocking device; Step 3, the mechanical arm grasping the bobbin, and after the grasping action is complete, the mechanical arm transmitting a signal to the controller, the controller controlling the cylinder to act and cause the blocking device to lower to below the roller; Step 4, after the blocking device has lowered, the controller issuing a command to the roller electric motor, the roller electric motor receiving the signal and then resuming an ordinary speed, causing the tray to smoothly continue motion and enter a next process. The present method can ease a force of collision between a tray and a blocking device.
