SNP SNP markers for selecting Castanea cultivar producing big chestnuts and their use

The present invention relates to an SNP marker and a composition for selecting a variety of a chestnut tree which produces large chestnut kernels; a composition comprising a preparation for detecting or amplifying the SNP marker; a microarray comprising the SNP marker; a kit for selecting a variety of a chestnut tree which produces large chestnut kernels including the composition; and a method for selecting the variety of the chestnut tree which produces the large chestnut kernels. A variety of a chestnut tree (genotype) which produces excellent entities with respect to sizes of kernels, that are large chestnut kernels, can be easily, rapidly, and accurately selected by using the novel SNP marker, the composition, and the micro array or kit comprising the same. Also, excellent tree breeding and variety improvement of chestnut trees can be possible by using the selected variety of the chestnut tree (genotype).
