The present invention relates to an arrhythmia extraction device for extracting ventricular fibrillation and electromechanical dissociation (EMD) based on an electrocardiogram signal, and a method thereof. The arrhythmia extraction device can comprise: an electrocardiogram signal acquisition part acquiring an electrocardiogram signal of an object; a feature parameter determination part extracting a new electrocardiogram signal by passing the acquired electrocardiogram signal through a first filter and a second filter respectively having different frequency bands; and a determination part determining ventricular fibrillation and EMD based on a plurality of feature parameters in the time of the new electrocardiogram signal having passed through the first filter and a plurality of feature parameters in the time of the new electrocardiogram signal having passed through the second filter.
