The present disclosure relates to a communication technique that converges a 5G communication system with IoT technology to support a higher data rate than a 4G system, and a system thereof. The present disclosure is applicable to intelligent services (such as smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car or connected car, health care, digital education, retail business, security and safety related services, etc.) based on the 5G communication technology and IoT related technology. According to an embodiment of the present invention, a method of an apparatus comprises: a step of receiving a first function related request from a profile server; a step of confirming whether or not a first function can be performed; a step of confirming whether or not the first function can be converted into a second function when the first function cant be performed; and a step of processing the request with the second function when the first function can be converted into the second function. The apparatus comprises: a transmitting and receiving unit; and at least one processor. The at least one processor is configured to: receive a remote managing command from the profile server; determine whether or not the remote management command is processed; perform the received remote management command; convert the remote management command into a local management command depending on a result of the remote management command performed; perform the converted local management command; and control the transmitting and receiving unit to transmit a result of the remote management command or the local management command performed to the profile server.;COPYRIGHT KIPO 2020
