The present invention relates to a recombinant Pseudomonas putida strain and a method for producing mevalonate using the same. According to the present invention, a mevalonate biosynthesis circuit is established in the Pseudomonas putida strain. The recombinant Pseudomonas putida strain with significantly improved mevalonate production yields was prepared through studies such as improving external gene stability, regulating ethanol catabolism circuits, and regulating fatty acid biosynthesis circuits. The recombinant Pseudomonas putida strain of the present invention is highly resistant to organic solvent toxicity, thereby having toxic resistance to terpenoids produced by using mevalonate as a precursor. Therefore, the recombinant Pseudomonas putida strain can also be used as a biocatalyst for the production of high concentration terpenoids.
