Disclosed is a treatment method of a magnesium alloy, including: a step of preparing a magnesium-containing alloy material; and a step of severe-plastic deforming the alloy material to form a gradient structure in which the grain size increases from the surface to the inside on the cross section of the alloy material. Accordingly, the magnesium alloy can improve mechanical properties and reduce a corrosion rate when used for a biomaterial.
