A method for management of demand response for an electric furnace comprises the steps of: selecting, when a demand reduction instruction including a power reduction amount and a reduction duration is received, one or more electric furnaces whose operation mode is a heating mode among a plurality of electric furnaces constituting a DR resource group; determining, as a control priority object, an electric furnace having a large percentage of a remaining heating time among the selected electric furnaces; calculating a control amount and a control time based on a maximum control amount, a maximum control time, and a heating time of the electric furnace determined as the control priority object; and executing control by transmitting a reduction request signal generated in response to the calculated control amount and control time to the electric furnace determined as the control priority object. As a result of the execution of control, until the sum of the control amount is greater than the power reduction amount and the sum of the control time is greater than the reduction duration, the control priority object is determined every preset unit time to calculate the control amount and the control time.
