The present invention relates to a method for producing a carbon-supported platinum-transition metal alloy nanoparticle catalyst. According to the present invention, in the manufacturing process of a carbon-supported platinum-transition metal alloy nanoparticle catalyst using a stabilizer, by simultaneously removing the transition metal and the stabilizer of the nanoparticle surface through acetic acid treatment, it is simple and eco-friendly compared to the prior art. A carbon-supported platinum transition metal alloy nanoparticle catalyst can be prepared in a conventional process and applied as a high performance and high durability fuel cell catalyst.
