The present invention relates to the technical field of traditional Chinese medicines, and in particular to a traditional Chinese medicine composition for treating atherosclerosis-caused hypertension and application thereof. Components of the traditional Chinese medicine composition comprise: 60 to 300 parts of Radix salviae miltiorrhizae, 50 to 280 parts of Folium cortex eucommiae, 50 to 260 parts of Uncaria rhynchophylla, 10 to 100 parts of Rhizoma coptidis, 50 to 240 parts of leaves of Apocynum venetum, 50 to 200 parts of Gastrodia elata, 50 to 200 parts of earthworms, 6 to 20 parts of red yeast rice, and 20 to 300 parts of Semen plantaginis. The present invention can prevent and treat atherosclerosis-caused hypertension collaboratively in multi-approach, multilevel and multi-target fashion; in addition, the present invention has a formulation containing no toxic traditional Chinese medicine, and is suitable for long-term taking by patients with atherosclerosis-caused hypertension.
