Disclosed are methods and system for starting coolant pump for coolant supply to charge air supercharger by means of turbo-supercharger running on exhaust gases. In one example, the method may include the following step: the coolant flow is fed through a supercharging air cooler through a cooling pump driven by mechanical force of the turbocharger.
