METHOD OF ESTIMATING WAVE FIELD ATTENUATION PARAMETER FOR DETERMINING HYDROCARBON SATURATION OF FORMATION IN BOREHOLE SPACE IN CONSTRUCTING GEOLOGICAL MODEL
FIELD: physics.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to geophysics and can be used to determine saturation of geologic environment in interwell space from seismic survey data and take into account obtained information when predicting geological properties. Task of the invention is to increase the reliability of detecting and mapping regions with different geological properties, having an effect on absorption of energy of elastic oscillations, which makes it possible to implement a more reliable location of exploration and production wells. Substance of the method consists in obtaining seismic data on the area under study, constructing an acoustic model of the well, comparing seismic data of the route of the total wave field and the acoustic model. If the correlation coefficient is more than 0.7, an optimum seismic signal is determined, based on mathematical calculations, dominant frequency values are determined from seismic signals, after which determining the increment of dominant frequencies of the wave field, obtaining data on the attenuation parameter, calculating the functional relationship of the attenuation parameter and formation saturation based on well data, which are compared with a priori information on the hydrocarbon saturation of the formation rocks, carrying out forecast of saturation in inter-well space and unaffected by drilling zones. Obtained saturation prediction is used in constructing a geological model for calculating hydrocarbon reserves over the formation. Evaluation of the wave field attenuation parameter is used to determine the absorbing properties of the medium when constructing the geological model.;EFFECT: technical result is higher efficiency and reliability of forecasting of hydrocarbon saturation of formations.;1 cl, 6 dwg
