FIELD: chemistry.;SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of adhesives based on phenol-formaldehyde resins used in wood-working industry for production of wood-particle boards and boards based on wastes of annual plants, for example, boards based on flax chaff. Technical problem is achieved by the fact that a glue containing a water-soluble phenol-formaldehyde resin is added with a modifying additive in form of furfural at the following ratio of components, pts. wt.: phenol-formaldehyde resin (liquid) 100; furfural 0.5–2.5. Essential feature distinguishing proposed technical solution from prototype is that in adhesive composition based on phenol-formaldehyde resin during mixing additionally introduced modifier – furfural in amount of 0.5–2.5 pts. wt., which reduces surface tension of the adhesive composition and improves uniform distribution of the adhesive on wood particles when producing wood-particle boards, or particles of flax chaff in the production of hemp particle boards, or particles of other wastes of annual plants, for example crushed straw cereals, cannabis chaff, sunflower husks, rice husks, and improve physical and mechanical properties of these boards with insignificant change of technology of preparation of adhesive composition.;EFFECT: creation of an adhesive based on a water-soluble phenol-formaldehyde resin with an inexpensive modifying additive which improves the physical and mechanical properties of the boards due to a more uniform distribution of the adhesive on the surface of the wood particles when they are resined, as well as expanding the field of application of adhesive in production of not only wood-particle boards, but also boards based on annuals of wastes with almost invariable process of board production.;1 cl, 3 dwg
