A device with at least one flow cell (10) is provided for the dielectric separation of particles (200) according to a traveling wave dielectrophoresis. The flow cell (10) is assigned a multi-layer electrode arrangement (110, 120), the electrode arrangement being provided for generating at least two electrical, moving fields in the flow cell (10) which are at an angle to one another.
