Turbine shrouds (100) including the structural features for collapse / fall are disclosed. The casings can be a unit body (102) with a support section (104) coupled directly to a turbine housing (36) of the turbine system (10), an intermediate section (134) which is integral with the support section (104) and extends away from it, and a seal portion (154) integral with the intermediate portion (134). The unitary body (102) of the fairing can also have two opposing slot surfaces (122) extending adjacent and between the support section (104) and the sealing section (154), and a plenum (200) extending through the support section (104), the intermediate portion (134) and at least a portion of the sealing portion (154) extending between the two opposed slot surfaces (122). Additionally, the unitary body (102) may include one or more bridge members (300, 302) formed integrally with the intermediate portion (134) and extending partially through the plenum (200) and one or more openings (306, 308), formed in a portion of the plenum (200) and extending through the intermediate portion (134).
