The subject of the invention is an agent for coloring by oxidation of keratin fibers, in particular human hair, which contains, in a cosmetic carrier, (A) 1- (2-hydroxyethyl) -4,5-diaminopyrazole and / or one of its physiologically acceptable salts and (B) 2,6-dihydroxy-3,4-dimethylpyridine and (C) hydrogen peroxide, and (D) one or more nonionic surfactants, the total content of all the anionic surfactants (E) present in the agent, relative to the total weight of the agent, being less than 0.6% by weight.
