A threading device comprises a button actuator (80, fig. 10) and moveable arms 50, 52. The button actuator is spring biased by spring (87, fig. 10) to control the moveable arms. The device may also comprise a sensitivity adjuster wheel (260, fig.14) to adjust the range of movement of the arms. The sensitivity adjuster may comprise an eccentric disc (267, fig.14) which can be positioned to restrict downward movement of the button 80. The device has threads 100 fitted into a channel or slot 102 at the end of each arm. A ball or thread holder may be arranged at each end of the thread. The arms are preferably concave in shape. A further embodiment has a button actuator which is not necessarily spring biased, and a sensitivity adjusting device.
