Provided are: an antireflective member having a small reflectance and improved scratch resistance; and an image display device equipped with the antireflective member.　An antireflective member 100 provided with a low-reflectance layer 130 arranged on a transparent base material 110, wherein the low-reflectance layer 130 comprises a binder resin and silica particles 132 and 134, the ratio of Si element attributed to the silica particles is 10.0 to 18.0 at.% inclusive and the ratio of C element is 180 to 500 at.% inclusive when the ratio of the Si element is defined as 100 at.% as determined by the analysis of a surface region of the low-reflectance layer 130 by an X-ray photoelectron spectroscopic method.
