Disclosed are a positioning measurement method and device. The disclosed method comprises: after receiving a message for starting positioning measurement, a terminal sending to a network side device instruction information for starting positioning measurement; and the terminal performing positioning measurement according to a received radio resource control (RRC) message sent by the network side device and positioning assistance data sent by a positioning node.
