摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved tire balancer for detecting a force in a horizontal plane with respect to rotation of a tire. A dynamic balancer includes an outer housing and a spindle assembly rotatably mounted on the outer housing. A frameless motor assembly is connected to selected components of the spindle assembly. A chuck assembly receives a locking member to capture the tire between them. The chuck assembly and locking member are captured within a spindle assembly and rotated by a frameless motor assembly. A spring-biased return cylinder may be utilized with the dynamic balancer to assist in capturing and releasing the locking member from the chuck assembly. An adjustable encoder assembly may be associated with the motor assembly to monitor the rotational position of the tire and / or spindle assembly. [Selection diagram] Figure 1
