The invention relates to a method for operating a facility (1) for producing containers (2) from blanks (3) made of a plastic material, said facility (1) comprising: at least one unit (4) for thermally conditioning blanks (3) and at least one unit (5) for forming containers (2); at least one unit (8, 9) for transferring containers (2) to a labelling or filling unit (6, 7); and a control unit (41) that controls at least the thermal conditioning unit (4), the forming unit (5) and the transfer unit (8, 9) by imposing a set speed on each unit, proportionate to a production rate for the containers (2). Said method comprises the operations of: detecting an incident; determining a reduction of the production rate generated by the incident; and applying this reduction to the set speed.
