Following on from the findings of theBrighton Fuse report, the FuseBox24 projectexamined in further detail the conditionsnecessary to accelerate innovation in theCreative, Digital and IT (CDIT) sector, a strongand growing part of the UK economy.The FuseBox24 project found that CDITinnovators:- Trade in ideas and content, but tend not toworry about protecting intellectualproperty – open innovation andcollaborative approaches dominate.- Often as sole traders or micro-businessesneed shared spaces in which to collaboratewith others to develop ideas.- Need support, capability and new toolsto enable them to get the most out ofcollaborations for sustainable innovation.The FuseBox24 findings demonstrated thatarts, humanities and design approaches arehighly effective in meeting these needs.
