Search-based testing tools for Ajax- A systematic literature review

Search-based testing seeks to solvemany novel problems including testing Ajax applications, andthere have been a number of tools created to accomplish thispurpose.Objective: This thesis aims to identify search-based softwaretesting tools for Ajax web applications and how they have beenevaluated.Method: Systematic literature review is used as the researchmethodology.Result: There are six different tools identified in scientificliterature of which three are variants of Crawljax. Also, searchbasedtesting tools for Ajax are primarily evaluated through theuse of case studies.Conclusion: The evaluation of the identified tools should beconducted using an experimental design in order to make themcomparable and repeatable as well as follow benchmarkingframeworks proposed in scientific literature.
