Tools for Work Environment in School. A Follow-Up Survey from a Personnel Perspective Regulation concerning Internal Control (IC) of the work environment has been in force in Sweden since 1993. IC regulation forms a part of the Work Environment Act and is defined in Sweden as the taking of systematic action to ensure and certify that activities concerning health and safety are performed in accordance with the stipulations of the Work Environment Act. The purpose of the project was to test an instrument for personnel, to enable schools themselves to develop their own work environment. Questionnaires were administrated on two occasions with an interval of one year, to more than 400 persons. Complementary information about e.g. healthstate and co-operation were gathered on each time. The personnel reported a lot of health problems and increased activities e.g. among females who co-operated more with other professional groups and pupils the second year. The conclusion is that the workload is a health problem and it's important to involve all people in the preventing environment work and the IC.
