Phase Characteristics of Bridge Type Three-phase Inverter with Transistors and Saturable Cores

The intent of this paper is to investigate phase distortion produced by unbalances of circuit parameters in the bridge type threephase inverter. The inverter discussed here has the diode-bridge with a common resistance and the ring connection of the core windings to improve the phase distortion and stability of the three-phase oscillation. In order to analize phase characteristics of the output voltages, semiconductor devices are modeled by switching function, and nonlinear equation for determing operating periods created by the switching-mode operation of the semiconductor devices are obtained. The nonlinear equations are solved numerically by applying the Newton algorithm. The results show the effect of the ring cennection circuit and the relations between phase characteristics and unbalances of circuit parameters.
