摘要

Water absorption of a cotton towel and shirting treated with conventional softners were examined by the Bilec method. The ones containing distearyl dimethyl ammonium chloride as a softner base, softner A, and the similar commercial softner, softner B. After first decreasing, water absorption increased according to the increase of the treatment time. This recovery was higher with the cotton towel treated with softner A, the original water absorption of which was high. In addition, it was suggested that as the water absorption became higher, the sofness of feel became lower.
