The authors have researched on the design requirement of shear panel damper. In this paper, we performed cyclic loading test of shear-panel-damper with stiffeners, and as well as consider the required rigidity of the stiffeners, collect data on the faitigue relationship of panel, and comparison with the data of non-stiffening panel. As a result, for the panel with stiffeners, fatigue life tends to decrease by cracks are easily occur at the stiffener weld. The relationship of the optimum stiffener flexural rigidity ratio and the stiffener flexural rigidity ratio may alleviate the coefficient to 3.0 or less. Then, within this experimental range, with respect to the panel with stiffeners, by the panle buckling prediction region, it can better determine the presence or absence of pinching occurs. These results showed the validity and effectiveness of the expressions and the method.
