In this paper, the brushless self-excited thyristomotor is described. Equiting the rotor with a diode or two diodes and suppling the motor with current which contains higher order harmonics, the brushless is accomplished. Characteristics of the thyristomotor in these excitation-methods are analysed, which indicate necessary parameters with the high levels of performance and give the estimation of the SCR per the motor-capacityfor the design of the system. Finally, calculated value of the characteristics are shown to be in excellent agreement with measured experimental results.
