The authors have presented the half-moon shaped bolts for a fastener of high-strength steel members. In previous paper, we showed a effectiveness and performance of the bolt joint and mechanical properties of bearing failure through loading test and analysis results. The half-moon shaped bolt has self fastening effect that its diameter become longer when the gap between hole and bolt is generated. We treated a beam flange joint specimen as an application of the half-moon shaped bearing bolt. Cyclic loading tests were performed on the beam flange joints. This paper showed influence of a self fastening effect on flexural rigidity of the beam joint by use of the half-moon shaped bolts.
