Oceanography is the scientific discipline concerned with all aspects of the world's oceansudand seas, including their physical and chemical properties, their origin and geologicudframework, and the life forms that inhabit the marine environment. Traditionally,udoceanography has been studied under four separate but related branches: physicaludoceanography, chemical oceanography, marine geology, and marine ecology. Meteorologyudis another subject closely related to oceanography and inseparably linked to the physicaludprocesses of the ocean.
