Finfish culture in India is prominent only in the fresh water aquaculture. In the marine and brackishwater sectorsudonly asian seabass (Lates calcarifer) has met with success. Farming of this fish on a commercial scale is still not audreality in India. Technological gaps, and low rate of return when compared with shrimp culture. In this backdrop, theudpurpose of this article is to review the status of knowledge regarding the nutritional requirements of marine finfishudbroodstock, larvae and juveniles.
