摘要

Food is normally the largest single item in theudrunning expenditure in fish and shellfish farming. Henceudthe suitability and cost effectiveness of the ration is ofudparamount importance to commercial success, many differentudtypes of feed may require development to meet the variedudneeds of different species and size of larvae. Palatabilityudand physical structure of shrimp and bivalve ration areudinter-related. Both factors alone and in conjucation affectudingestion and have an important impact on prawn and bivalveudnutrition. Microencapsulated diet for larval and postlarvaluddiets have been advocated by Meyers (1973). Gelatinudmicroencapsulated diets suitable in sea water. Until theuddevelopment of microparticulated diets the recent years the.udstudy of larval nutrition was impossible.
