As a sequel to the recommendation made by Group 9 -udFisheries, of the Indian Council of Agricultural Researchudfor fostering inter-organisational co-operation in research,uda programme was initiated between the Department ofudFisheries, Tamil Nadu, Central Marine Fisheries ResearchudInstitute and Central Salt and Marine Chemicals ResearchudInstitute to conduct a survey of seaweed resources ofudTamil Nadu.
