Yield Gap Analysis among Rice Growers in North Eastern Zone of Tamil Nadu

India is still amongst the countries with the lowest rice yields, with the national average of 1,930 kg/ha. Seventyudpercent of the 414 rice growing districts reports yield lower than the national average, clearly Indicating that well; after the advent of high yielding technology, a sizable area is categorized as low producing.
