This database is the first of its kind onudfish-food data in the country and is envisagedudto serve as a repository of alludsuch nutritional information on differentudfood-fish species. This would also serveudas a knowledgebase for different clienteleudgroups, including physicians, nutritionists,udplanners and consumers toudincrease the utility of fish as a healthudfood and in clinical nutrition as well. Theudnutritional information generated couldudalso be helpful in prioritization of fishudspecies for aquaculture depending uponudtheir associated nutritional values.
