Aerodynamics of Slender Wing-Body Combinations

摘要

Aervdynamic characteristics of the slender wing was calculated by R. T. Johns by neglecting the value of φxx (Second derivertive of periurbation velvcity potential about flow direction.) Here author tries to calculate the slender wing-dody combination. Speceally the delta wing and the swept-back wing, by neglecting the value of φxx and by using conformal mapping. And the numerical examples of the delta wing cycylinder body combination and the swept-back wing-cylinder body combination are calculated. It is found that this calculations produce some paradoxes. For example the rectangular wnirg-body combination has no lift on the wing.
