This research addressed in context the immigration phenomenon of Ecuador during the period 2007-2012, focusing on the analysis of treatment media regarding immigration issues in 2012, for which it took as a reference to print media El Telégrafo and El Universo and television media as Teleamazonas and TC Televisión. In addition, data may show public opinion regarding the Quitopopulation remains to immigration, the development of objective and subjective insecurity of Quito and its correlation with private migrant population of liberty. Finally, the results of content analysis and discourse on the immigration issue , a product of which we can see that the media treatmentof the media analyzed is not adequate and also that the immigrant population has no more impact on citizen insecurity will show that It presents the city of Quito.
