In this paper, we study rotating boson stars in the large coupling limit aswell as in the Newtonian limit. We investigate the equilibrium solutions infour and five dimensions by adopting some analytical approximations. We showthat the relations among the radius, angular momentum, Newtonian energy andquadrupole moment (for the four-dimensional solution) of the boson star can bequalitatively realized for the minimal number of boson star parameters.
