Besides, Google Translate is easy to access and easy to translate article, web-page, phrase, sentence, or even lyrics of songs from the original language into the target language. Further, the purpose of this research is to find out the types of errors that are produced by Google Translate in translating song in Serenade Album by Ebiet G. Ade.ududThis research used qualitative research design. It is because this research focuses on a phenomena of Google Translate in translating songs from Bahasa Indonesia into English. Furthermore, the object of this research is Indonesian song that written by Ebiet G. Ade entitled Serenade Album. In particular, the data were derived from the result of document analysis of the translated song, in which the song purely translated by Google Translate.ududThe result of this research showed that Google Translate still has standard in translating, one of them is translating a song. Here, the researcher found that the result of Google Translate in word by word is correct even though it contextually still needs some revision. Furtheremore, the results can be summarized as follows: there are eightyeight errors of Misformation errors that are found in Serenade Album. Here, misformation error is one of the errors that fraquently come out. Commonly, those errors are errors in the selection of structure and morpheme. Afterwards, Omission error. There are thirtyseven errors of Omission errors that are found in Serenade Album. Generally errors that produced are characterized by the absence of items that should arise. Then, there are eleven errors of Misordering errors that are found in Serenade Album. Generally errors are produced from the incorrect placement of a morpheme or group of morphemes in an utterance. The last, Addition error found in the Serenade Album which are two errors. Generally error that produced is a presence of an item that must not appear in a well performed utterance. It can be concluded that Google Translate still appropriate to translate a song but it still needs human to pay attention to the sense of the translated.
