The author applied the microteaching method to the classroom works in theintensive course in teaching of Mathematics at the Faculty of Science in TohokuUniversity and the Faculty of Education in Yamagata University.The microteaching originated at Stanford University in 1963. It consistsof the following series of levels as a fundamental procedure : (1) (initial)lesson, (2) feedback (or critique), (3) improvement, (4) re-lesson and (5)feedback.In an intensive course, there was enough time for the author to try thecommunication analysis, which is the revised term of "Teacheru27s Gaze Graph"Method coined by Asst. Prof. Shindo at Fukuoka; students and teacheru27s "TalkAnalysis" according to certain categories, and "Free-Gard Method" and "KJ-Method" coined by Prof. Kawakida at Tsukuba University.So far the author has developed a program of microteaching for an intensivecourse in the teaching of Mathematics.
