摘要

abstract: the present paper develops an algorithm to update arbitrary input-output tables from knowledge of row- and column-sums. the purpose is to generate unique update-matrices, which are optimal in a specific sense. it turns out that the set of lagrange multipliers used in this algorithm does possess economic significance.;
