摘要

A procedure is presented for the spectrophotometric determination of traceamounts of metal after extraction with molten naphthalene. Nickel,coba1t andmolybdenum form stable yellow complexes with oxine and these complexes arequantitatively extracted into mo1ten naphthalene at 90℃. The resu1ting mixtureof complex and naphthalene is dissolved in dimethylformamide to determine theamount of metals spectrophotometrically. The extracted complex is stablein both mo1ten naphthalene and naphthalene-dimethylformamide solution. Thefactors such as pH,amount of oxine,naphthalene are studied.
