Diastereomeric inc1usion complexes of a water-soluble cyclophane possessing a chiral hydrophobic cavity (TCP44) with chiral hydrophobic guests (arylglycolic acids or l-arylethanols) are investigated in aqueous solution by titrative 'H NMR spectral measurements. Complexation properties based on physical constants (Δδmax, Ks,and ΔGo) are discussed.
