摘要

The thermal decomposition of polyvinylchloride(P . V . C)in the presence of tribasic lead maleate(PbM3PbO)as stabilizer was studied in comparison with various commercial stabilizers systems.The stabilizers can be classified from the decomposition curves into two groups.Organic tin compounds are the one which combine with the unstable radicals in the polymer formed by the decomposion of P.V.C..PbM3PbO and usual heavy metal basic salts are the other which catch the HCl evolved by the decomposition of P.V.C..It may be contributed to the presence of maleic double bond that PbM3PbO is more active than PbSO4-3bO as HCl acceptor.
