A Study on the Renewal p~ocess in Residential District in View of the Tendency of Residential Lot Changing into the Parking Lot

(1) In the war damaged rehabilitation area of Fukui city，about two-third blocks have parking lots and about 10% of residential lots have changed to the parking About 60% of them are "monthly parking"，furtheremoretwo-third of them are operated by individuals. (2)τhe main reason of establishment those parkings is quite conservative，that they can not find out the other constructive usage and change their residential lot to parking for the present. (3) In view of the demand and residential environment，there is a necessity of reconsideration for the parking within residential area.Therefore inhabitance have high consciousness to the cooperation for the improvement of residential environment.
