摘要

This paper aims at designing and implementing audscheduler model for heterogeneous multiprocessor architecturesudbased on software and hardware. As a proof of concept, theudscheduler model was applied to the Linux operating system runningudon the SPARe Leon3 processor. In this sense, performanceudmonitors have been implemented within the processors, whichudidentify demands of processes in real-time. For each process, itsuddemand is projected for the other processors in the architectureudand then, it is performed a balancing to maximize the total systemudperformance by distributing processes among processors. TheudHungarian maximization algorithm, used in balancing schedulerudwas developed in hardware, and provides greater parallelism andudperformance in the execution of the algorithm. The schedulerudhas been validated through the parallel execution of severaludbenchmarks, resulting in decreased execution times comparedudto the scheduler without the heterogeneity support.
