Celebrating the centenary of the Schwarzschild solutions

This article is a celebration of the centenary of Schwarzschild’s presentations of his external andinternal solutions describing spacetime outside and inside an incompressible, spherically symmetricbody. I give a review of these solutions and how they have been interpreted physically.
