Modelling in 3D is considered time-consuming anddifficult, requiring special training. There are currently no 3Dmodelling user interface conventions. This paper thus presents aframework for simple 3D modelling based on 2D drawings ofheight maps. The framework is intended to be quick and easy touse for untrained users and no special software is needed as theapplication runs in the browser.
