The purpose of this reflection article is to attract attention of Colombian SMEs, and in turn, create awareness in them, about the benefits and the need to implement in their organizations a System Operational Risk Management, that ensures business continuity and sheds a greater volume of information, to support the decision taking process, that allows to properly handle crises and generates creative and elastic alternatives.
