The title of this legal research is the effectiveness of the Public Service Division CiviludRegistration In Kulon Progo Regency After Applicability of Act No. 25 of 2009 on the PublicudService. The purpose of this legal research is to determine the effectiveness of the public serviceudpopulation and civil registration in Kulon Progo regency government after the enactment of LawudNo. 25 of 2009 on the Public Service. The type of this legal research was empirical legal research.udThe data source used was primary data as main data despite of secondary data used as supportinguddata. Results of the study of law is the public service in the field of population and civil registrationudin Kulon Progo have led to the effectiveness of public services, it is evidenced by the one-dayudservice, SIAK (Population Administration Information System) that facilitate and speed up theudadministration of residence of the districts, the results survey of IKM (Community SatisfactionudIndex), which is conducted every year by the department of population and civil registration KulonudProgo with the results of the assessment of society qualify as "good", and SOP (StandardudOperating Procedure) and SPP (Standard Public Service) so as to realize the protection andudcertainty the law for the public in the administration of public services in the field of populationudand civil registration
