This legal writing discusses the practice about Illegal Unreported and Unregulated (IUU) Fishing that occurred at the border area between Indonesia and Philippines. Each country has different views on Illegal Unreported and Unregulated (IUU) Fishing Indonesia is which a country has seen Illegal Unreported and Unregulated Fishing as a crime. Illegal Unreported and Unregulated (IUU) Fishing is an unauthorized fishing activities. The activity was caused by misuse of licencing requirements and several other causes. IUU-Fishing causing loses in various fields, such as, economic, political, social, and environmental. The provisionIUU-Fishing stipulated in the United Nations Fish Stock Agreement 1995. Under its terms agreed that the states parties will cooperate in the prevention and control of IUU-Fishing. Indonesia as one of the parties have to adopt the provisions of UNSFA 1995 into national legislation such as the law and regulation. Law enforcement to IUU-Fishing could not be done if it is ony done by one party alone. The cooperation between the central government and local government are needed to overcome the problems of IUU-Fishing.
